These Fintech Partner & API Terms (“Partner Terms”) govern access to and use of the Documents.com.ng platform, APIs, and related services by fintech platforms, aggregators, and corporate partners (“Partner”).
By registering, integrating, or accessing the Platform or APIs, you agree to be bound by these Partner Terms in addition to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
1. Scope of Partnership
Documents.com.ng provides APIs and platform access that enable Partners to:

Facilitate CAC and related regulatory registrations for customers

Submit service requests programmatically or via dashboards

Track application status and outcomes
-
Earn agreed commissions or service margins (where applicable)
This partnership is non-exclusive and does not create an agency, joint venture, or employment relationship.
2. Partner Eligibility & Authority
The Partner confirms that:

It is a duly registered legal entity
-
The person completing onboarding is authorized to bind the organization
-
All information provided during onboarding is accurate and current
-
It will comply with applicable Nigerian laws and regulations
Documents.com.ng reserves the right to suspend or reject onboarding where misrepresentation is detected.
3. API Access & Credentials

API access credentials are issued upon approval.

Credentials are confidential and must not be shared.
-
Partners are responsible for all activities performed using their API keys.

Documents.com.ng may rotate, suspend, or revoke API credentials for security or compliance reasons.
4. Acceptable API Use
Partners shall:

Use APIs only for lawful, authorized business purposes
-
Implement reasonable security measures to protect credentials
-
Respect rate limits and usage guidelines
-
Avoid excessive, abusive, or automated scraping behavior
Partners must not:

Reverse engineer or attempt to exploit APIs
-
Use APIs to process fraudulent or misleading transactions
-
Interfere with platform stability or security
5. Data Protection & Privacy

Each party shall comply with applicable data protection laws, including the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR).

Partners may only collect and submit data necessary for service execution.
-
Customer data must not be reused, sold, or disclosed for unauthorized purposes.
Documents.com.ng may process submitted data strictly for service delivery and compliance purposes.
6. Service Processing & SLAs

Processing timelines provided via API or dashboards are estimates only.

Delays may occur due to:
-
CAC or other Government agency workload
-
Name availability issues
-
Incomplete or incorrect data submissions
-
Documents.com.ng does not guarantee approvals by regulatory authorities.
7. Fees, Billing & Commissions

Applicable service fees, commissions, or margins are communicated separately or via the Platform.
-
Fees may change with notice.
-
Government charges may vary independently.
-
Where commissions apply, payout is subject to:

Activity validation
-
Anti-fraud checks
-
Internal approval processes
-
8. Suspension & Termination
Documents.com.ng may suspend or terminate Partner access where:

These Partner Terms are breached
-
Fraud, abuse, or suspicious activity is detected
-
Platform security is compromised
-
Regulatory or legal risks arise
Termination may be immediate where necessary to protect the Platform.
9. Limitation of Liability
Documents.com.ng shall not be liable for:

Regulatory delays or rejections
-
Losses arising from incorrect Partner-submitted data
-
Downtime or service interruptions
-
Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Total liability, where applicable, shall not exceed fees paid by the Partner in the preceding three (3) months.
10. Indemnity
The Partner agrees to indemnify and hold Documents.com.ng harmless against claims, losses, or liabilities arising from:

Partner’s misuse of APIs

Breach of these Partner Terms

Violation of applicable laws
-
Data protection failures attributable to the Partner
11. Modification of Terms
Documents.com.ng may update these Partner Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform or APIs constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
12. Governing Law
These Partner Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
